Some of you may remember my hosting Erika Mailman on her Historical Fiction Virtual Book Tour for her novel Woman of Ill Fame back in December. The book is about Nora Simms, a Gold Rush prostitute who lands in San Francisco and has to fight her way around a serial killer targeting the "soiled doves"--a killer who seems to be taunting her with each new victim. I absolutely loved Woman of Ill Fame, and would recommend it to anyone!Erika has recently released a youtube video showing her reading a bit of comic relief from the book. The brief clip was part of the infamous Sex Scenes Readings at the Historical Novels Society conference in St. Petersburg, Florida. The readings are always hosted by Diana Gabaldon of Outlander fame, and provide an evening of salacious fun for conference attendees.
